Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Shop Launch Studio ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to this website, shoplaunchstudio.com, and to emails we send or receive.

Who we are

Shop Launch Studio is an independent studio that builds and improves Shopify stores. You can reach us at hello@shoplaunchstudio.com or by post at the address in the footer of this page.

What we collect

• Contact form and emails. Your name, email address, store URL and anything you write to us.
• Business contact details for outreach. When we email new Shopify store owners, we use the store's website address and a business contact email that is publicly listed on that store or in public business records. We do not buy email lists.
• Client work. If you hire us, the information needed to do the work and send invoices, such as your billing name and the store access you grant through Shopify.
• Server logs. Our web host keeps standard logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this website.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for.
• To send a small number of personal emails offering our services to new store owners, which you can stop at any time.
• To send invoices and keep the business records the law requires.
• To keep this website secure and working.

We never sell or rent your personal information.

Unsubscribing

Every outreach email we send explains how to opt out. Reply with "unsubscribe" or email hello@shoplaunchstudio.com and we will stop contacting you, normally within 2 business days and always within 10. We keep your email address on a do-not-contact list only so that we never write to you again.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only as much as they need:

• Hostinger, which hosts this website and our email.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typeface on this website and receives your IP address when the page loads.
• Our payment and invoicing provider, if you become a client.
• Shopify, when we work inside your store through its collaborator system.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually up to 7 years. Do-not-contact entries are kept indefinitely so we can honour them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under California privacy law, Canada's PIPEDA and CASL, and Australia's Privacy Act and Spam Act, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for outreach. Email hello@shoplaunchstudio.com and we will respond within 30 days. You will not be treated differently for using these rights. You can also complain to your local privacy regulator.

Security

This website uses HTTPS. We never ask for your Shopify password; store access goes through Shopify's own permission system, which you can revoke at any time.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
