Terms of service

These terms apply when you hire Shop Launch Studio ("we", "us") for any of the services described on shoplaunchstudio.com. By accepting a quote or paying an invoice, you agree to them.

1. Scope of work

Before any work starts, we confirm in writing the package, the list of work included and the expected delivery date. Anything outside that list is extra work, which we will quote separately and only do with your approval.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are fixed per package and shown in US dollars. Work starts once the invoice is paid, or once the first payment is made where we have agreed to split it. Shopify plan fees, paid themes, paid apps and other third-party costs are not included and are billed to you directly by those providers. We will always tell you about such a cost before you take it on.

3. Your responsibilities

• You own or have the right to use the store, products, images, text and trademarks you give us.
• You approve our collaborator access request in Shopify and send the content we need, such as product details and your logo.
• You are responsible for the products you sell, your prices, your legal compliance and your dealings with your customers.

Delivery times start once we have store access and the content we need.

4. Store access

We never ask for your Shopify password. We use Shopify's collaborator system, with only the permissions the work needs. You can remove our access at any time. Where possible we work on a duplicate theme and publish changes only after your approval.

5. Revisions and acceptance

The full store build includes two rounds of revisions. Other packages include reasonable corrections to anything that does not match the agreed scope. Work is accepted when you approve it or 7 days after delivery if we have not heard from you.

6. Ownership

Once paid in full, everything we create for your store belongs to you. Third-party themes, apps, fonts and images remain subject to their own licences. We may describe the work in our portfolio only with your written permission.

7. Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel before work starts for a full refund. If you cancel after work starts, we refund the part of the fee for work not yet done. The setup audit is not refundable once the report is delivered. If we cannot deliver the agreed scope, we refund you for the parts we did not deliver.

8. No guaranteed results

We work to make your store clear, fast and trustworthy, but we do not guarantee any level of traffic, sales or revenue. Results depend on your products, pricing, marketing and many factors outside our control.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

10. Independence

Shop Launch Studio is an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for Shopify Inc.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it with you directly by email.
